Wigan Pier
A circular walk of 10 miles and 200 feet, taking in Low Hall Nature reserve, the Whelley loop, the Leeds Liverpool canal passing through higher Ince and Wigan to Wigan Pier and Parsons Meadow for lunch. Then return via the Leigh branch of the LL canal and Wigan Flashes to Low Hall Nature reserve.
Three Sisters Nature Reserve
A flat circular walk of 8 miles taking in the Leeds Liverpool Canal to Bamfurlong, Viridor Wood, Three Sisters,
Lily Lane Farm, Rothwells Farm Estate and Slag Lane.
Moses Gate Country Park
A circular walk of 6.5 miles and 350 feet taking in Moses Gate Country Park, Bolton Canal, Nob End, Bury Canal, Sunny Bank Mill, Irwell Sculpture Trail, Yew Tree, Ringley Wood, Prestolee, and the River Croal.
